Asafo Flag - R&D
This project dates back to 2020 when I became intrigued by my heritage and began exploring garments and textiles native to Ghanaian culture. During my research, I discovered Asafo flags, which I instantly fell in love with. Inspired by these vibrant designs, I set out to create my own flag, drawing from my personal upbringing.
For this project, I crafted the flag’s mesh in Marvelous Designer and developed its textures in Substance Designer. The flag consists of seven procedurally generated texture graphs, each carefully designed and combined to form the final piece. It was an enjoyable process, and I look forward to creating more projects like this in the future.
